Free Immigration and Visa Service for Union Members
Migrant workers can be targeted with wage theft or harassment because businesses often see migrants as easier to exploit.
Migrant workers can be afraid to speak up about wage theft, harassment and exploitation because they are worried their visas might be cancelled.
Unions NSW and the Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC) have partnered to deliver expert immigration advice for union members. If you’re not a union member and would like free high quality advice, you can find out who your union is and how to join here.
IARC lawyers are experts in migration law and visa issues and are registered migration agents. IARC lawyers are able to help union members with their immigration or visa problems.
This expert legal advice covers all types of visas provided to workers in Australia such as student, working holiday and sponsorship visas.
The service is completely confidential, free and can be given over the phone or in person. IARC also has interpreters if needed.
For information on how to make an appointment with IARC please contact your union and they will arrange a referral to IARC for you. Please do not contact IARC yourself. If you are not a union member, you can find out how to join your union on the Australian Unions website.
