IARC is a not-for-profit specialist Community Legal Centre with over 30 years of experience in immigration law and policy. We are independent from government, although we are funded though the legal aid program of the NSW Government and the Commonwealth National Partnership Agreement.
IARC is a membership based incorporated association constituted under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 and the Associations Incorporation Regulation 2016. We have a Committee of Management that is elected annually at an Annual General Meeting.
IARC is a member of Community Legal Centres NSW and accredited under the National Accreditation Scheme, an industry based certification process managed by the National Association of Community Legal Centres. This accreditation recognises best practice in the delivery of community legal services.
IARC is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Non-For-Profits Commission (ACNC) and is able to receive tax deductible donations.
All migration advice given on behalf of IARC is given by practicing solicitors who are Registered Migration Agents who must comply with the Code of Conduct for migration agents.
